It's built and maintained by a single site owner, not a company or agency — the goal from day one has been to make something genuinely useful and a little bit fun, not just another generic calculator page. The dragon theme started as a way to make basic arithmetic feel less like a chore, especially for kids working through homework. Each calculator got its own dragon and color early on (yellow for basic, green for mortgage, navy for scientific, silver for graphing) mostly because it made the site easier to navigate at a glance, and it turned out people — both kids and adults doing quick math — genuinely responded to it.
